Kids’ Christmas In Singapore

Christmas for the Children… at a mall near you!

These days, children have much more to look forward to at Christmas then presents! The proliferation of malls here in Singapore in recent years means that there is always something going on for the kids, especially at Christmas! Here are some favourites at the mall and elsewhere.

Star Wars Awakens and Christmas B-b-bouncy Castle (Changi Airport Terminal 3 Departure Hall – Immigration)

Kids flying off somewhere this holiday season are in for a double treat! Star Wars related events will take place in the restricted area of Terminal 3, including a meet-and-greet session. Younger kids who have yet to come under the Force may prefer a bouncy castle that they can scale!

Orchard Road Pedestrian Night, snowfall at Orchardgateway

If street celebrations are your thing, get down to Orchard Road on Dec 5 for a night of Christmas-themed activities. Enjoy the decorations along Orchard Road whilst there but do remember to walk a little further down to Orchard Gateway for some snowfall every evening until 3 January 2016.

Christmas Caroling at Raffles Hotel

Be lulled by gentle voices of carolers in one of Singapore’s colonial buildings. Singers from the National University of Singapore and Victoria Junior College bring Christmas cheer with their repertoire of carols and old favourites.

Christmas Eve Family Services (St George’s on Dempsey, 5pm and 6.30pm)

Christmas may be over-commercialised by now. Take some time to pause and appreciate the true meaning of Christmas at a church situated on a lush green hill.

Snowtime at Tanglin Mall

Whether your kids are homesick for the cold or even if they’ve never had a real white Christmas, there is something about snow that holds a magical allure for children; even if it comes from a snow machine! Tanglin Mall has been making kids happy every Christmas since 1996.  Head down from 7.30pm every day until 3 January 2016.

Christmas Village At Clarke Quay

Fancy spending Christmas by the river? Head over to Clarke Quay for activities that keep kids entertained – magic shows, cupcake and Christmas tree decorating.

Meet and Greet with Santa  (ION Orchard)

Let kids get the final verdict on whether they’ve been naughty or nice from Father Christmas at ION Orchard! Whilst there, enjoy the Bubble Snow Show and children choir performances as well.

The Princess and the Snow Bear (Forum the Shopping Mall)

A fairytale love story on ice with Beauty and the Beast elements where a prince is turned into a snow bear by day. Let kids learn that appearances are only skin-deep. More adventurous children can sign up to skate with the cast!

The Little Big Club (United Square)

Which kid can resist seeing their favourite TV characters up close? At United Square, they are in for a treat with dance performance by Bob the Builder, Mike the Knight and Barney and Friends, with meet-and-greet sessions.

Peppa Pig’s Christmas Surprise (OneKM Mall)

This little piggy… had a Christmas Surprise. Meet-and-greet sessions and craft sessions would have kids squealing with delight.

We hope this guide to What’s On this Christmas in Singapore helps get your family in the festive mood.  Wishing you Happy Holidays!
